Red RocksGreetings Bass Cadets!

We have blown our way through our Winter run leaving a trail of happy Bass Heads in our wake. From the West Coast shores to East Coast mountains, down through the South and sweeping up into the Center, every single event was a completely sold-out, raucous explosion of delight and freakish intensity. We raised over $20,000 to donate to various community organizations (more info on that soon) and as always want to extend a deeply heartfelt THANK YOU!

See the 2011 Winter Tour Video HERE.

AND NOW we are coming for Australia and New Zealand, with a 9-show run packed into 12 days – BOOOOM!

CLICK HERE to view where you can get the bass down under.

Upon our return we have a 3 week blast of dates planned for Tulsa, Omaha, Madison, St Louis, Covington, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Atlantic City, Norfolk, Providence, Burlington, Portland, Boston, & Albany. Most of these shows are sold out already, so THANK YOU for your unquenchable appetite for bass! And if you haven’t grabbed your tickets yet, act fast my friends! Click here to see which shows still have tickets available.

That wraps up Spring Tour and we will be gearing up full force for an unforgettable session of summer festivals.

We have 2 fresh announcements for you!

My dearest Lorin and the Bassnectar crew:

First off, I'd like to say thanks to all of you for puttin on amazing shows year after year. I've been to quite a few shows since '09 and each one has been better than the one before. The lights, sound, and atmosphere are nothing shy of spectacular! I have a couple quick questions for you guys tho:

    1) Has there been a decision on whether there will be a fall tour this year?
–If so, will you be coming back to fayetteville or anywhere near North Central Arkansas?

    2) What should we expect from your upcoming EP? (epic dirty-ness, i hope) ^-^

    3) I love you. (i know that's not a question, but it needs to be said)

Thanks a million for making every day brighter!

Hey Lorin, big big fan here. Just wondering if for your April shows you were thinking of doing a possible meet and greet with some of your fans. Would love to say whats up before the show. Looking forward to you coming out to Madison…. the support you show for people at the capital is great.

    • BBBass

Yeah, thatd be such a sweet idea. Meet and greets maybe?

    • yeah i always want to do that kind of stuff, but it is hard to actually figure out how to do it and still have quality time, cuz often it just turns into a zoo

i remember in Seattle last Feb kind of spying on the people who had come in early and were just waiting for shit to start up. i wanted to go out and hang out with them, but i felt like inevitably it would just swamp up and then all i can do is kind of give hi-5s u know?

anyhow, yeah, i know Lia is always on the lookout for opportunities to do that kinda stuff
      🙂

  • bumba

    Hey Lorin!

Will you be at Burning Man again this year?

  • Jared

Hey Lorin, just wondering if you could tell me what song drops at 1:30

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v

Best set yet. Preciate you spinning I am a laser 🙂

    • euphoric rhythm

      what about the first song?!

    • the song at 1:30 is Chicken Dippaz. Idk about the first song but its sweet.

  • Dubs

Hey Lorin so with your shows being as amazing as they are, I know us fans would love to bottle them up and keep the memories of these incredible shows alive. To that point, do you ever think about recording your sets and putting them up online to purchase? It would be sweet to have a continuous track playing on my computer knowing I was at the show

  • David

I wish you would come to The Norva in Norfolk, VA. That would be the most eargasmic experience I could imagine!

    • He is coming to the NORVA on 4/17!!!! Unfortunately tickets are sold out already 🙁 But I'm sure you could find some if you tried!!! Hopefully I'll see you there!

  • Rich

Hey Lorin, Well I tried, I looked and scoured every inch of the internet to find 2 tickets to tulsa under 100$ each and had no success, so unfortunately it looks like my friends and I will not be making the show in tulsa on wednesday, and will jsut have to wait till Nocturnal. I never heard back from anybody about tickets or anything but still wanted to thank you anyways for trying to help me.

PS. I am considering driving by myself for 5 hours to tulsa from dallas and driving back to dallas after the show, but we will see how I feel next week about a 10 hour commute to get my face melted :).

    • hey bro!

that sucks, but i DEFINITELY think you are making the right call. 100$ is too much. that is so tragic that people scalp tickets like this to my shows

anyhow, best of luck, we will rage at Nocturnal
      🙂

  • Hannah

    Lorin,
I've been wondering how to get backstage/all access passes to your shows. I went to Bass Center 2 in Asheville and have already purchased my ticket for the Norfolk show on April 17… the day before my birthday!! I'd love the chance to meet my favorite musical genius. Can't wait to see what surprises await in Virginia!

  • chitownbasshead

lorin, i noticed your playing at DMB's Caravan in Atlantic City i just was wondering if you were going to be at the midwest part of the tour….i really really hope so im from chicago and have been a fan forever i find myself wanting to see you like 10 times this summer either way…if your not gonna be at the midwest tour another humble suggestion would be North Coast Fest….in a perfect world youll be at both! Either way illl see you at Red Rocks! Thanks for being a beast on the reg!!

  • spacecadet

    Lorin,

I cant wait to see you at the Electric Forest (Rothbury). I saw you there in 08' and it was my first time seeing you ever…shit was EPIC!!!!!! I've now saw you at the past two All Goods, St. Andrews (Detroit), and Halloweeen (Chicago). I am sooooo ready for your set at The Forest!!! Morning set???

  • Murraybj

    Hey Lorin
Remember when nobody knew who you were and a little party in Salmo BC called Shambhala helped you build the empire you now have? I love you and everything you have done for the music but just come back this year! Remember we are your family!

    • lesliebooher

      guilt trips=unfair and invalid arguements

      • Murraybj

        whateva!

      • Murraybj

in all seriousness i totally understand and am fine with it i was just trying to bust his chops a bit as he is my favourite producer/performer and sham is my favourite party
have you heard him play on the village system?
        no guilt trip intended

  • kk

Thanks for coming to Omaha, the show was absolutely AMAZING! It was my first and I can't wait for the next!

  • Alejandro

Camp Bisco 10 right? first time I saw you was at Camp Bisco 7 in 2008. Life changing =]

  • MADTOWN

Hey Lorin… So I was at your show in Madison, it was unreal. Is there any chance you could reveal like a tracklisting for the show? I wish we could somehow download or purchase an audio recording of your entire set, but if somehow we got to know what the tracks you played were we would be able to relive the experience we had last Friday.

    Thanks man

  • Dubya

Can't wait for the Hangout Music Festival in Gulf Shores. Shit's gonna be incredible.

  • Cori

    WHAT ABOUT BISCOOOO?!?!?!?!.

    • guest#69

Bassnectar will play at camp bisco 10

  • LeeDanger

    Dearest Lorin,

I would really appreciate it and love it if you allowed me to be a part of your roadie entourage for the summer of 2011. Your festival line up is blowing my mind. You are about to be one busy bee. I come with all the necessary qualifications from cooking, cleaning, and party skills. I also know how to smack some hoes and bros around, IF necessary.

If you see this as not a fit, well, I guess I will see you at Red Rocks.

    Sincerely,
    Lee

    • haha
step one, strike both words “roadie” and “entourage”
      😉

i am open to people stepping up who want to be involved in caring for others and elevating the experience for the group in an effort to make the community even stronger. this is because for me the ONLY thing i cared about after my first few 'raves' was getting the FUCK behind the scenes and helping make the magic happen for other people.

Lia coordinates the volunteers, and we call them ambassadors, but it is a flexible concept.

i think traveling with the road show works best on dedicated tours (spring & fall) because the summer is so spread out…a national zig zag

      🙂

Lia is also pretty clear on the guidlelines, and they mean staying sober and basically being ON DUTY, which some people arent ready for.
but quite possible see you around soon

      just don't go smacking anyone
      🙂

      L

  • !HoAx!

    Lorin man..

a friend of mine back in cali introduced me to you. “Here We Go” is all i needed to here and i was hooked! if you made a stop in El Paso Texas, it would be the greatest. the music scene is barely starting to kick off here…Bassnectar would make it that much better!

  • Carey Erwin

Global Dance Festival… come back to red rocks again this summer! You know you want to…

  • Doublemeat

Say brother, are you going to make it to Austin in the middle of September?

    • lesliebooher

      gooooooooooood question

    • i predict closer to november, but still in october…like right near the mix of the 2 months… or something

      • lesliebooher

        halloweeeeeeeeeeen?!

  • The Dude

Ever since I picked my brains off the roof of the Asheville Civic Center one question lingers in my mind….. When will you bless us with Bass Center 3? Any ideas for locations? If flying is necessary the sooner I can buy tickets the better…

  • BAM

    Dear Lorin

im from wisconsin and the show you did in madison blew my fucking mind. it was my first show an definatly not my last. i was woundering when you would be coming back to shake the house down?

    sincerely Bass Head

  • Dearest Lorin,

I saw you for the first time on 12.30 in ATL (sparkly dress girl. first balcony right side. haha) I can not wait to see you again at Waka. Your show really inspired me to be a concert photographer and I got a press pass to Wakarusa. I cant believe that I will be able to do what I love while watching my favorite artist. Thank you for your inspiration and adding a second night in Atlanta. That night pushed me to start my carer even though I am still in high school!

    Much love and respect,
    Rachael
