OH lordy everything sounds great can’t wait to be jammin out in my car….better yet at BASSCENTER 4!!!!

  • sciosis

Definitely not my favorite, but I’m sure it has it’s place in the LP. I’m starting to miss some new down-tempo tunes from you, my friend. I love working on my art while listening to your older. I’ll stayed tuned for the rest of the album of course. keep at it, man! Appreciate the tunes

for you, i reccomend the last 4 tracks on the collection :)
Above & Beyond, Parade Into Centuries 2011, After Thought, and Disintegration Part IV (just beatless synth loops)

      • sciosis

Sounds good to me, appreciate the reply.

PS: it was extremely difficult to get anywhere near your stage at Bonnaroo, so I just chilled outside the tent. It was blissful

        • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

yeah i saw footage of the outside area, it looked fucking way packed, but considering you could see the stars it must have been really fucking rad out there

  • An Old Fan

    Dear Lorin,
remember the days of World Beat Juice? Mystic Groove? Those were the days. What’s up with all this thrashy, over-dubbed, womp bullshit? You’re selling out to dudebros and sorority chicks. Yeah. THOSE are the type of people that go to your shows. You used to make music with meaning, music that was art. This isn’t art, this is just mainstream madness. You are no better than Excision or Nero, which is sad.

    • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

whats up with you wanting me to do the same thing over and over again

of course i remember the old days, and i have no intention of being some boring, uncreative tooljob who just keeps doing the same thing.

i still make music with meaning and art, i still work year round pouring my heart out and i wouldnt change any of this for the world

people like you are a drain and a bore and i have zero interest in trying to satisfy you

go find something you enjoy, somewhere else.

i apologize to anyone else reading these responses, i do not mean to come across as rude

i am just so sick of this same, idiotic attitude from washed up people who cannot celebrate another human doing what they enjoy.

when someone tells me “Stop doing what you are doing. Instead go back to what you did 10 years Ago. Since you have developed and morphed i will assume your new identity is of no merit, and you have lost your way.” they come across like a fucking conservative christian, passing judgement on someone else who is different from them and i find it incredibly insulting.

Just remember… no matter how hard you try, you can’t please everyone. Not everyone likes The Beatles for christ sake! Or The Cure! Or even Nirvana or Blur or The Pixies or MIA!! There are very few people in the world who have REALLY good taste in music. Like you said earlier, every genre is great! But no genre is even better! And I think I get it! Is their such thing as a genre composed of every genre!? Omni-tempo maximalism!? Oh but that would be against the point :) What I’m wanting to say is: I know you know good music. I love all of your music: Mesmerizing the Ultra, Diverse Systems of Throb, Cozza Frenzy, Timstretch, Heads Up, Wildstyle. Based on what I’ve heard so far, I think Divergent Spectrum will be my favorite, and possibly my favorite album of all time!

I’ve had the best times of my life at your concerts and someday, I’ll look back on these experiences, and it’ll bring me to tears.

Keep up the beautiful work ;D

          no doubt.

just so you know, haters like that do not actually *hurt* me as much as dissapoint me. It is extra wrong for me that they come here and show such disrespect to thousands and thousands of people who are neck deep in a very positive, exciting, love-driven experience, but i don’t want you to think it hurts me or bothers me in anyway other than that.

i just need to, as a person (not as an artist) tell them personally to fuck off
          ha! :)

just because i find their words, opinions, tactics, and vibe *SO* wrong.

so i appreciate your encouraging words, but just know, this is all part of the fuel for the fire

      • SpartA!

your passion suddenly became dubstep, WOMP, BASS IN YOUR FACE, as soon as dubstep got big.
you’ll be able to defend anything that anyone says, because you’re smart and witty.

but what i think is draining and boring are the zonked out WOMP addicts at your concerts. yeah i bet that music sounds good when you’re messed up, but def not when you aren’t. youre old shit was like a drug in itself. youy could be sober and flying HIGH.

        • Anonymous

i have never done any drugs or been “messed up” and when i listen to bassnectar i feel like i am in another dimension. for me his music is like a drug in itself. the concerts cannot be described. i always get fully absorbed into his music when i listen to it.

if your not a fan and just come to hate well whats the point in that?

          my licence plate is WOMP
          AND
i dont classify bassnectar as dubstep. id say its a genre in itself.

          FEED OFF THE HATERS!

        • http://www.facebook.com/hzaidi Hasan Zaidi

You are so mistaken in thinking that man, and I’m sick of hearing it from people – “damn you were raging, must’ve been rolling face huh???”. no, actually. Like tobin underneath me, I see the shows stone cold sober, and I am completely mesmerized each time. In fact, I think I go harder than a lot of the drug-addled portion of the audience. Call me a womp addict, and I’ll agree with you. I am absurdly in love with deep, heavy, gnarly sub-bass. But to tell me that it only sounds good when messed up is just stupidly false.

And to all those trapped in the drug-fueled mindset that often fosters at shows – you should really try that crazy sobriety shit. You’d be surprised at how hard you trip off it. It makes the music more clear, the memories more vivid, and the brain less agitated. Too many have experimented with everything but being sober…try it and you just might never go back.

  • Highpricenikes

Lorrrriiiiinnnnnnn please say the Estelle remix will be on this album. I really want it :(

  • AN ACTUAL FAN

This shit is awsome and i’m a huge fan of the music and not just the music Im a huge fan of bassnectar i’ve been to a ton of shows and i love all his stuff! Lorin your music is on the front of the dubstep revolution anyone who has heard of dubstep has heard of bassnectar! keep doing what your doing and ill be at every show i can make!!!!!!!

  • VadiK

     is awsome-awsome-awsome-awsome!!!!!!!!)))

  • James Jamerson BASS

During that Summercamp setlist, you dropped that wildstyle Big L remix (Which I loved the samples…he was a very underrated rapper) and then transitioned into “Plugged In”….

THANK GOD THAT SONG IS ON THIS EP.

  • wtf happened lorin

Lorin, An Old Fan is right though. Money turned you over to the dark side :( . What happened to freakbeats for the beatfreaks??

    • forever, a fan

How many “sell outs” actually respond to their fans’ messages? Not very many.

      • Strollinthedark

He loves social networking too much to not respond.

        • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

exactly, the internet should not be a pretty picture where only false fronts exist.
it shouldn’t be an ad campaign. it should be a social/communal space of interaction

but that doesn’t mean idiocy, fallacy, disrespect, or needless negativity needs to be given free reign.

For one, if someone comes here and is needlessly rude, i have no concern for their right to be here.

Secondly, if someone comes here with legitimate ideas or critique that need to be shared, i have always happily engaged in debate, and often times i mutate my opinion based on new things i learn from new people.

But the bullshit, played out whining and disrespect from old “fans” gets zero love here.

that aint social networking, its just draining.

  • wtf happened lorin

You cannot begin to tell me these songs have more soul than California Sunrise, Replenish, The Wicked Twitch of the West, Udu Shuffle. I’m ashamed this is the way you turned out. Upside Down sounds the exact same as a few dubstep tunes I’ve stumbled across over the past few years.

    • Anonymous

“im ashamed this is the way you turned out.”

      wtf are you lorins mom?
who are you to judge someone so widely

if you don’t like the new tunes, listen to your old cds and stuff. you don’t have to like the new stuff, but you also don’t have to be rude

    • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

you are comparing every song i have ever made to Upside Down???
      Why?

Let Upside Down be what it is: its a bassline track. it fucking makes people EXPLODE live. And there is nothing wrong with that. Besides i love it, and if you don’t like it then it isnt for you.

      BUT KEEP IN MIND:

      1. This is one song out of 15, and you are somehow finding the time to judge me as an artist, summarizing me for one song. This song is in the caliber of Bass Head, Teleport Massive, Cozza Frenzy, Heads Up, Amorphous Form, Blow, Pleasure The Bass Nympho. The fact that you cannot tell that i have always made heavy ass bass music, and i have always made deep melodic stuff, and i am a very diverse artist, …it shows me you have no idea

      2. The dubstep you have stumbled upon means nothing to me. i create what i like.

I would tell you to listen to the entire album before passing judgement (actually i would tell you to suspend your judgement all together, because if you don’t like something i am making now you will like something else soon, i change constantly)

But your attitude and personality is ****SO***** horrendously dissapointing to me, that i have literally *ZERO* interest in your opinion. You are not a fan, nor are you a respectful person.

People like you should be ashamed of yourselves.

      • rain

dude, he’s not being disrespectful JUST because his opinion is different than yours! are there only allowed to be positive I LOVE YOU BASSNECTAR comments on here? calm down, you’re telling him to be ashamed of himself, i feel like you’re fighting fire with fire. if you’re so passionate about what you do then don’t scream back.
you’re bein just as negative as beat freak…

        • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?

Are you really are oversimplifying it and trying to play like those comments werent disrespectful? Are you saying i dont have the right to set shit straight herE? Who the fuck are you dood?

NO. You don’t need to be overly positive here, but that person is laying out bullshit about my character as a human, making wide judgements and assumptions about my intentions as an artist and a person, and telling me they are ashamed of me.

That is not going to fly. sorry. I will scream back when i want

how about this: don’t come here and tell me or anyone else what to do

    • Verbal6936

Shame on you “wft happened to lorin,” you really have no place to call
out lorin.  He loves what he does and it comes across.  If you don’t
“prefer” this album wait for another! you cant expect stagnant
production from a forward thinking creative artist!  You sound
comparable to an over zealous bible thumper who doesnt like whats on the
TV, guess what if YOU dont like it you dont have to watch it! Same goes
for music!  When Bob Dylan went electric people booed him, when bad
brains played reggae people rioted and walked out.  Let artist grow and
progress…. If you choose to stay stationary so be it.  But dont be so
presumptuous as to criticize someone for doing something they love!
      Peace and love

      • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

        agree 100%

    • Zach James

You sad sad tormented soul.  You are so out of place its not even funny…

Cheer this mans success. He deserves every bit of where he is and where he is going.  If you don’t like a song, write to him w/ solid rationale as to why and say where you want him to take his music next – he’ll consider what you say, and that’s whats so great about Lorin, he really cares for/listens to his fans!

Lorin connects with his fans better than any artist I’ve come to know – at his shows, on his site, and at the personal level –  if you have not already, you need to read his about me, his writing on safety/drugs, his compassion for the community/culture/society.  Even while I disagree with the vast majority of his opines regarding politics, I respect that he is an informed and passionate individual about what he stands for.  Having an opinion and backing it up is better than not having one at all and just being the herd animal that so many people are.

Personally you seem like a pandering sideshow clown shoe’d fuck head, and the only reason your upset is because Nectar isn’t ‘your thing’ anymore – its everyone’s!

Change is good my man and gahdamn you need some!

You voiced your opinion and I voiced mine – and that’s what makes the WORLD WIDE WEB go round!  haha you should have been at Bonnaroo this year!

I don’t think it’s fair or right to tell an artist how to make their art. If it’s not what you like, go make something that you do and hopefully no one will tell you to change it.

Lorin, I think that this sentiment comes from disappointment, but not from your music, instead from your fame. Since you are more well known, it’s no longer “cool” to like you. What I do not understand is why, if I don’t like certain types of people and they like your music too that it’s your fault? I dont like drug users or glow sticks, but I still love EDM and have for years and will continue to appreciate great music when I hear it.

Much love and thanks for the beats :-)

    • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

      yes i agree!

a lot of this comes from people being uncomfortable with how expansive bassnectar has become. Instead of shunning new people and making them feel excluded, i have always stayed wide open and inclusive. this leads to a large and ever-growing (and ever-changing) family.

Some new fans are ass holes (they haven’t cultivated a mature sense of appropriate behavior, give them time)

And obviously in the case of mstornabene@hotmail.com some of my old fans are ass holes!

      ha!
      :)

again, i stand SO STRONGLY behind what i do, i trust myself 100%, and i love my life.
i love the ever-growing, ever-changing community that envelopes my art, and i am excited to watch it continue to develop, and to contribute to it

you have no clue what my passion is, was or will become, and i have no patience for your attitude :)

  • Don’t change your shorts! ;)

I absolutely love how much you’ve grown as a producer/performer. Your career has stood the test of time, and in my eyes, your success can be attributed to how you’ve managed to evolve and morph Bassnectar into the entity that is today.

This release really shows your talents as a producer and how much you’ve learned since your previous albums. I look forward to hearing the album in its entirety. Is there any chance of a write up as to why you chose to order such a “diverse spectrum” of songs the way you did?

    • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

      sure, how do you mean?

you are asking why i chose the tracklisting to run that way?
      im not clear

anyhow, i am kicking it here rendering files before i head out to electric forest, so i got time to answer Qs, lemme knoow

      • Don’t change your shorts! ;)

Yes, I think it would be cool to get some insight as how you envision people hearing not just each song, but the album as a whole. I think the track listing is very important to set the mood for an album, and it would be cool to read about your though process when it comes to ordering songs.

        • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

COol, well for one, i organized the collection so that each song is dependent on each other, and it was supposed to be released in April. So things are way behind, and there are always compromises to make, that’s life.

The way the tracklisting ended up was kind of similar to a set for me.

Usually i arrange my sets in terms of Acts (like a play) and each Act contains various routines (which are segments of loops/songs/samples that all flow together harmonically, melodically, energetically, etc) and then i kind of just let loose.

But energetically my favorite is: start with a bang, get fuckin wildstyle. play with some surprises and unexpected twists. If you go REALLY hard, then make up for it with something really dreamy. Or vice versa, if you get all melodic and emo, then fuckin SMASH IT afterwards. just keep playing between extremes. Eventually stop, take a breather, and change it up completely. Then rinse and repeat this exchange of intensities for a while until it is time to TOTALLY freak out. After that, enjoy a nice long meltdown into deepness.

So Upside Down was an easy kick off, the intro is tense, and the drop is stupidly heavy. (the original version has a lot of other bits, this radio edit is just that..an edit)

Plugged In has a nice celebratory vibe to it…it is anthemic, almost triumphant. but lots of pretty tinkles and melody, so that kind of ‘makes up’ for the assault of Upside Down.

Next up: something totally different. punk rock. And beyond that GYPSY PUNK! BOH BOH! that is something i have never sampled or included in a release, so this was very exciting for me. And of course that drop is just…..absolutely ABSURD. shit is FUN! and the message is great too (crudely, it is about immigration, and the abstract contradiction of telling people they arent welcome in this country where everyone is basically an immigrant, or their relatives were)
its like the FUCK YOU ARIZONA GOVERNMENT song :)

Then Boomerang. This is kind of a throwback to when i was 16, and getting mega blazed with my friends and *CONSTANTLY* playing death metal. guitar, drums, …just nonstop. The song was called “Return To Guitars” and i spent a few rainy days last winter recording some amazing shit with friends. Then i started recording vocals to it, and the song was called “inside Out” because i had this dream where i woke up inside the dream, and then started lucidly pondering if i was inside of the dream looking out, or outside looking in, then i woke up and got all these ideas for lyrics. But anyways, after tons of time on tour, playing the instrumental, i got used to it as an instrumental, and saved all the vocals for later. The vibe, like i said is basically Timestretch (which i used to make Magical World, Underwater, and Ellie Goulding…i like to develop a song and then let it mutate) …this has been one of my favorite songs to play in each set, i think i played it every time thus far in 2011.

Then comes Ellie…in a set this is the beautiful breather. On an album, this represents much more because not only do i LOVE this song, and LOVE her as an artist, but this was the first song of the record that we released (last january) before i even knew if we could include it. It has been a big part of the year so far, and …i am just SO thrilled it is a part of the whole release. And for anyone wishing for more “mesmerizing the ultra” style… this song is basically “Replenish” and “enter the Chamber”….same synths, same energy, same vibe :)

ok, i am gonna stop there, i gotta get back to work, i will go into more detail about the other 11 songs sooner/later
          :)

          • Don’t change your shorts! ;)

YES! Thanks for all information. It’s great to have the chance to know the history/inspiration behind your work.

I love that you start everything out with a bang! It really sets the level for what to expect. I was fortunate enough to catch your show in Orlando last year when you still opened up with He’re We Go, and I’ll never be able to forgot the intensity of that moment. Don’t get me wrong though, because Upside Down does NOT disappoint.

I’m also stoked to see a remix of Gogol Bordello. Eugene’s voice is out of this world and I’ve always admired that you’re not afraid to mix up the electronic style songs with a little bit of guitar, which leads me to boomerang. The guitar on that track is absurdly heavy. It brings back vague memories of listening to Death’s “Leprosy” album back high school.

I truly love what I’ve heard so far from the album, and I’m sure the rest will be equally as impressive if not more. Thanks for taking some time to reply to me. I wish the haters on here would spend their time better discussing ideas with you instead of ignorantly making immature remarks, because I’m sure that I’m not the only one who enjoys reading the insights into your thinking. I hope to see a write on the rest of the songs!

            ha thanks man

i expect everybody to dislike a few songs (different for everyone) on the record cuz they are very different, and its all good. im glad i can share this with you :)

and yeah, orlando was SICK, and “Here We Go” is such a perfect opener.

i wish i could start off with that one every set for the rest of my life

          • Don’t change your shorts! ;)

It’s one thing to dislike a song, it’s another to be a dick about it.

It is to bad that you can’t open up with Here We Go for every set, BUT you never dissapoint with whatever other banger you choose. Maybe you can make an exception this year for Gainesville and/or Tampa so that I can relive that moment =) haha. I’m hopping to make it to Orlando too but may be limited on the funds.

Be safe on your journeys, and thanks for chatting!

            FOR SURE!
i will play that tune EVERY NIGHT! fuck

i just get so sick of people moaning and whining “you played the same music” or “you dont play the same music” there is no winning… i try and keep it fresh and people get upset cuz i change. or i find the groove and lock into it, and people complain that i “repeated” the same song

haha…its psychedelic. ANYTIME you wanna hear a song, hit bassnectar.net/requestline

all i need is one request and its game on for Here We Go
            :)

I LOVE Here We Go!! I work full-time and go to school full-time and that song is all I need to get me pumped for 5-6 hrs of class after 8 hrs of work. Caffeine? Nah…heavy bass drops? YES PLEASE. Feel free to play this to open Kanrocksas and watch us go nutz :)

reading all of those comments really makes me go back to something i said a while ago
    when this got brought up.
i imagine the old music, mesmerizing especially, as the NECTAR part in BASSNECTAR
beatiful melodic tunes oozing out of your speakers
contrary, i imagine songs like Upside Down, immigraniada focusing more on the BASS
head bangers, hard heavy hitters that make people RAGE.
even the name is diverse and goes beyond standards and boundaries.
they both have similarities, but also give off totally different energy and vibes.
I really do love them both.
when i look at it like that, it calms me from all this unsettling bickering.
    :)

  • SubOrderNation

DOOOOOOD thank you so much for your music.
How come you decided to do Sham this year i thought you weren’t ?

    • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

yeah it was a rough call

it was supposed to be a week off, and i was defending it as best i could, and just caved.

it is amazing how many people “dont understand” you and just leap to their own conclusions. i was basically dealing with 100s of people asking me a day, and i have some great buddies up there in canada, and i care a lot about the festival.

it doesn’t mean i will be there every year, but this year i made it happen!

i was really hoping to play a twighlight set on the beach, but maybe another year :)

  • kicksnare

hey man your plugged in remix is incredible…ALOT of energy in that track

  • Verbal6936

Mad love from Boulder!  Humble souls and mother earth!  I came up watchin you with like 50 peeps at shows, now to experience your set and tracks at red rocks mainstage… wow I had an amazing night!!!  Dont let the haters get you down, not that you ever would :) Do what you do man and I will always support you!  Peace and love

  • Takelage55

Lorin  – Do You have plans about visiting East Europe (Russia)?
(From Russia wiht love :) )

    • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

DOOD! yes, since back in the day i have understood that eastern europe goes the fuck OFFFFFFFF….. my tour manager is always joking about metal back in the 80′s and drum & bass in the 90′s just KILLING IT over there….ahhhhhhh!! one day!
it would be a THRILL :)

  • Halfcab333

Bass Island should be sick, but I hope if that gets a good turn out [which no doubt it will] and reception you can evolve that into a multiple day festival. Not gonna happen at Governer’s, but I think multiple nights of bass would blow many minds

    • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

      word!
      i like how you think

yes this is the 1st year of what perhaps will become many many evolutions

the plan right now is to do “RETURN TO BASS ISLAND” next year, and after that “ESCAPE FROM BASS ISLAND”

      movie themes are fun

      • Bhaley

can not wait for you to be head lining your own festival. 3 nights of cheese at EF was great but 3 nights of Nectar would be completely out of this world

  • Prismlfo

These clips have me very excited about Divergent Spectrum.  I love the heavyweights but the tracks that really elevate me when I see you live are the tracks like the Rollz remix and Boomerang.  The spacy high end always gets me.  Can’t wait for the full release, fall tour and Bass Center 4!

  • JnpoJTPdo

    Hey, so…. I love you :D
U have grown so much and have released numerous amounts of tracks that I listen to on the daily…. You’re my #1 artist of all time, including other genres… I can’t wait til this drops man, and COME BACK TO VA!! Pleeeeeeeeeeease

  • cristobal

I would love to get my hands on your list of favorite songs for 2011 by other artists.  :)

  • wtf happened lorin

Lorin, you preach about love and respect all the time but on your website you’re a fucking prick. Lets be honest here. Why do you feel you have the right to call people toolbags, fucks, etc. just because they think your new music is shit? It is shit, you have to realize this. You’re in it for the money now, you have no more soul. Sorry that people have a different opinion than the almighty Lorin Ashton. Its laughable that I used to call you my favorite EDM artist. It was true, say 3 years ago. After Timestretch though I knew you were fucked.

    Sell out.

  • rbkramer

    mista lorin,
there’s something to be said for a bitcrushed gypsy stretch into a swooping bass slam…very well executed :)
if im not mistaken, you debuted this in the blue ridge?? glad to have it playing in my speakers/
i gotta super huge question thats been nagging me….in your version of tek one “hate you”…where does the additive sample of “descending spoons” come from?? check it…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOeFWzGTL-I

the bit comes in around 2:32 and is really shown at 2:38…original?? cause i lose my boundaries
    cheers cowboy

    • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

the super hype harmonic? those are loops i cut from some song, i wish i knew who it was from cuz i wanted to get more, there are also some swirling arps that follow

i rememeber the original being a very diff sound, and i only used the abstract bleeps and synth noises at the end, made the perfect topping for the tek one track (i am a huge tek one fan)
and took out the “hate” and added in a fat snare.

that’s my ‘snare you’ remix :)

  • http://twitter.com/cosmicbigs Emily Bigs

SO excited about plugged in… Definitely heard that one some time in april and was very curious about the title & what not.
Thanks for the write up on the album, looking forward to 8/2 (and 8/13!!) and a full write up on the tracks : )
Keep on keepin on, morphing and expanding at your rate… you have so many people loving what you’re doing as you define the future of bass-infused, socially conscious music.
oh.  and i can’t WAIT to see you at camp bisco…!!
    lots’o bass love.

  • rbkramer

allllllllso WHOA! the new layout of your page on youtube looka like dis….
    http://dannycarey.org/home.html
which brings to mind….where the FUCK is that tool remix???? they are notoriously hard to bypass so maybe a hang up there, but still awesome to see the merging

  • Steve

saw you in Columbus and at Bonnaroo. You killed it both times, as to expected.  Love the new single, but I’m really curious to hear the Plugged In remix. The preview reminds me a lil of Here We Go, just a massive sounding song with an amazing drop. Keep the bass comin!

  • groovecompany

damnit! i liked upside down at first but after a few times now i’m just annoyed. it’s kinda generic and repetitive. i like some of the other stuff though, and hopefully the rest of the album.
Listen to the song Mesmerizing the Ultra on a nice stereo …then directly after listen to this… where did the 3 dimensional bassnectar go! come back!

    • Gardubwes

i would love him to bring back that diverse system of the throb and underground communication but keep the cozza frenzzy and this new style smach it all up and make that PURE NECTAR……………. FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Trev

I’m sorry but im finding it really hard to figure out why there’s so much hate towards this man on HIS own site. You guys are not true bass heads if you do not appreciate Lorin’s ambitions to be diverse and ever changing. If he would stick with his old shit (which is great btw) through all these years that would be like sitting in your room and not exploring the outside world of what could be out there. Then you guys would bitch and tell him to expand more and blah blah blah….

But on another note even though there’s only 30 sec. clips i am going to make a very strong judgement towards them…..they are all sick as fuck and i cannot wait for the full release because i want to see what kind of musical journey you will take us all on through this album and tour….I really wish i could make it to D.C. for the bass center but i will be taking classes and cant afford to travel that far I need to get my study on, can you dig it?…..so it will be the charlotte show =).

and some last questions. Where does the inspiration and the background visuals come from? Are they the same at every venue or do you switch it up every show or every week? I’ve always wondered that.

    • Trev

*where does the inspiration for the light shows and the background visuals come from?

  • Lance Lenau

This new album is FAWKING SIICCKK!!!!

  • Transam455
  • Shootinblanks

I’d tought B-nectar had lost his whomp on the wildstyle ep but yet again here it is with divergent spectrum, another mind blow! Can’t wait for the relase to show up the clubs with a lil new age, thanx mahn!

  • Kaydee

Lorin my man question: what show experience was crazier for you NYE Atlanta or Red Rocks?
    Much love and respect

  • yupyup

DS sounds looks and feels like its going to be epic. i cannot wait for the releases tomorrow and then for the album itself!

whenever im feeling frustrated, depressed or upset.. i throw your music on lorin and it makes me feel like im in another world. like i dont have a care in this world and it truly makes me feel alot more relaxed.

lately i throw on the “Live mixset for KISS fm” transmission podcast. after 21:00 is where i normally start. its the weirdest thing.. i feel like ive been in a coma for about 20 years. and im just now waking up.
keep up the incredible work man your art is truly revitalizing, replenishing, restoring, recharging and rejuvenating

    • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

      thanks a lot!

      • Anonymous

awesome i cant wait for it! ps u should really release that zombies remix.

also just wanted to double check with the basscrew or the master himself that it was ok that i get the logo tattooed with some other homebrewed designs like such. (still in the making)

  • Mcmill73

Tomorrow is going to be a good day

  • Annaxxx

    upside down? yes. nuff said.

  • Thisemailisfake29

My roommate, Peter Clark, (who designed the cover art for Timestretch), introduced me to Bassnectar. I now know that up until that moment, my life was incomplete.

    • http://www.bassnectar.net LORIN

try that. re-subscribing won’t effect anything but may get you the download

    • http://www.bassnectar.net Ed Basscrew

Yes as Leslie suggests – if the REDEEM button isn’t working for you, just try downloading via email sign up.

  • Skymcd

    • Shasta Lee

      LOL:)

  • dj cheynsaw

The drop in Immigraniada is literally ludacris; I thought Bassnectar was
going to explode the stage at Electric Forest with that drop.
Bassnectar flexing that sound so hard. I love it :)

  • The Harleyscott

Absolutely loving the Above & Beyond track, Lorin. Can’t wait to buy this album — str8 energy.

    • The Harleyscott

must’ve played that sample well over 20 times by now. Gawd

  • DJGeeoff
