your Humble Narrator & his faithful droogs about to get into a bit of the old beoozmny warbles... To celebrate the Halloween weekend we are holding costume contests at our shows in Kansas City (tonight!), Peoria (tomorrow!), and Detroit (Saturday). We want to see these shows packed full of FREAKS dressed to the nines with envelope-pushing weirdness and creativity!!

So step right up and show us what you got! We have some killer prizes involved including festival tickets, goodie bags of signed gear, and a group photo with all the winners + yours truly.

TO ENTER:
– Assemble your craziest costume possible. Wear it.
– Show up early (doors are at 7pm).
– Take a photo in our photobooth!
– Cut-off to enter the contests is 9 PM sharp.

RULES:

– Costumes should be safe and enjoyable! Don’t bring anything dangerous/obnoxious to others.
– Don’t wear anything offensive (like Native American headdresses – chances are you didn’t earn one and you should be more creative).
– Make sure your costume is safe/breathable and will not be a health hazard to yourself once the music starts!
– Please consult the info on our event pages via bassnectar.net/tour for venue-specifics re: allowed/prohibited items.

GRAND PRIZES:
– Kansas City: a pair of tickets to all Global Dance Festival Midwest tour dates through Nov 2015
– Peoria: a pair of tickets to Summer Camp 2015
– Detroit: TBD

We can’t wait to see all you crazy beautiful humans transformed!

It’s gonna be a MONSTER SMASH!

Not going to wear one, but how the fuck are headdresses offensive? lol some people need to get over themselves. hahaha

    • Risko Tyndall

It’s like wearing the medals of a 5 star general and you never served a single day in the military. A head dress is earned and is considered sacred to native americans. It’s called being considerate to other cultures, saying something like “people need to get over themselves” makes you sound like an ass hat.

I don’t think many servicemen would be offended by this http://bit.ly/1E7cetR

If my husband (whos a sargeant in the USAF) saw you wearing a uniform he’d call you out in a heart beat. That shit is earned.

          • bassVet

I agree and I’m a veteran. I’d rip it right off them!!!!

Its offensive to make a joke out of a culture, and it’s terribly mean to take something that means a lot to them and make a mockery out of it. We have already taken away everything else from them, at least let them keep that.

  • AN OLD FRIEND

HEY JUST CURIOUS BUT IS THAT PIC OF YALL DRESSED UP LIKE A CLOCK WORK ORANGE FROM A FEW YEARS BACK BECAUSE I SWEAR I HAVE SEEN IT BEFORE?

    MUCH LOVE TO BASSHEAD FAMILY

    • Odis

It’s from last year love it!

  • Alicia Michelle O’Shea

Oh my gosh, can you please share like a huge slideshow of all the best costumes that enter?! I wish I could go and enter the contest myself, but I especially wish I didn’t have to miss out on everyone’s costumes!!!

  • Britt

Where do I find the picture I took?

  • Kristina

Are our photos going to be uploaded somewhere?
