Bassnectar Superjam? lolol, every BN show is a superjam!

  • Joel Munoz III

As of now, i’m not going. But if a late night BN show is announce, that could change EVERYTHING! Till the break of dawn! Freak in the mornin’ 😉

    • Alli Cat

He should be late night! Deamau5 is supposed to have the first unopposed 9 o clock slot and so I imagine Lorin will get the late night show at which stage. Fingers crossed for a sunrise set…

      • Joel Munoz III

That’s what i am thinking too. We’ve been the past 3 years and it seems like the lower billed “EDM” artist usually gets that sunrise set. Kaskade last year “we are the sun people” lol. PL the year before that. I think Umphreys(with a Big G set break) went till sun-up in 2012. But for real though, a 5-6 hour Bassnectar set would be SO EPIC! Especially if it ended up like the PL daylight set where there was probably less than 1,000 people left by the end. I can see him cutting that “freak in the morning” lyric and looping it into awesomeness 🙂 ERG, i wish they had bonnaroo day passes.

        • Alli Cat

Ahhh yes! Completely agree. This will be my fifth year going to Roo I love it so much and even more so that he will be there this year. That PL 2 to 6 something set has forever been one of the best nights of my life and I can only imagine if Lorin was playing that slot how happy we all would be. See ya on the farm!

  • Joel Munoz III

LORIN, if uou are seeing this i was wondering if you were doing a “Solar Stage” interview? I’ve had 3 dreams in the past months where you are doing a town hall meeting style Q & A. We saw one a couple years ago with Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros and would love to see you in that setting.

To Lorin, the Ambassadors and bassheads everywhere!

I was not sure who to go about contacting Lorin, but if all else fails maybe you guys could steer me in the right direction or pass this along.

My name is Shane Nelson and I am e-mailing in hopes that the Bassnectar team may feel inclined or inspired to be a part of my newest film project. On May 4th, 2015, I will be leaving from Tybee Island, Georgia in an attempt to travel coast-to-coast on foot, ending my journey in San Francisco, California. I will be documenting the entire experience and putting together a feature-length documentary that I have entitled “Left.”

One huge aspect of this film will be music and the live-music experience. Personally, I believe that music is the great communicator. Nothing in this world can bring strangers closer together than song and dance. You may not know a single word of another person’s language.. but you can always dance and celebrate without having to speak. My personal experiences within the live-music scene have shown me a love and interconnectivity that is unmatched in any other realm. It seems to me, through your social media activities, as well as your stage banter, that Lorin uses music and his influence as an avenue to encourage happiness, peace, love, creativity and the like. This is a good thing and I encourage you to never stop. During my travels I will be seeking out street musicians, touring bands and music fans of every genre to discuss their views on what makes music so great. I will also be making stops at famous venues and festivals that include CounterPoint, The Grateful Dead 50th Reunion Shows, and the beautiful Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado. My second stop will be at Bonnaroo Music festival, where I will get the opportunity to work as a vendor and witness some outstanding music, including Bassnectar.

If this has caught your attention at all, I would love for you guys to be a part of my film project, whether it is a simple interview or something else entirely. This is not just limited to Lorin Ashton, but extends to all of those people that make the experience possible, whether part of the production team, and ambassador or just a diehard fan. Throughout my travels I want to talk to people about what music means to them, what creates happiness, or just where we, as a nation, are at this present time. It would be interesting to gain the perspective of unique individuals such as yourselves.
