UPDATE: BASS CENTER 2016 IS SOLD OUT – THANK YOU!!!

HERE WE GO!
Friends, family, & bass heads worldwide: the time has arrived! We are kicking off the biggest, most magical, most next-level weekend experience in Bassnectar History, and we are thrilled that you are a part of it! Our entire team is going ALL IN – pulling out all the stops, summoning bass heads from miles around. While we want to celebrate life together as one big family, and let our freak flags fly in the most freestyle, wildstyle pandemonium! Simultaneously, we also care deeply about each and every one of you and your one-of-kind nervous systems, and we want to go above & beyond to send a message of caring, conscious, careful behavior: Please join us as we make this weekend a free-for-all of positivity, practicing random acts-of-kindness, bringing gifts to share, watching out for each other, and making sure that everyone around you feels right at home.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
Before the F.U.N. stuff, here is some very important P.S.A. business:

Hydrate
You know the deal: staying hydrated can make the difference between a great weekend and a trip to see the medics. Don’t mess around. Especially if you are drinking alcohol – drink some water in between every adult beverage! We have water stations throughout the stadium and campgrounds, and Ambassadors will be handing out water during the Stadium performances. It’s looking like a hot weekend (Saturday in particular if the forecast holds true) so DRINK THAT WATER PLEASE. Water is delicious, and it makes an excellent gift to share. Look for Ambassadors with misting devices to help you cool down, and basically: just be smart 🙂

Sun
As we go Into The Sun this weekend, find ways of going Into The Shade. WEAR THE SUNSCREEN. SHARE THE SUNSCREEN. If you need help applying that protective layer, don’t be shy – make a new friend 🙂

Know Your Limits
My feelings about health & safety, esp when it comes to hedonism and stimulants are well documented, so for now I will just say: please be careful, and look out for each other. Don’t go overboard, whether we are talking about alcohol or whatever else. Music Is The Drug: You could have the best time of your life just swimming through the sound waves: Stay present, stay in the moment, and be aware that your body is so precious, and the health and safety of you and the people around you is more important than anything else.

Ear Safety
We have gone *ALL OUT* to bring you an utterly immersive sonic experience, deep into the stands, and spread evenly throughout the venue. But it always sounds better with ear plugs. We recommend basic, soft foam ear plugs, and -as always – we provide free, unlimited ear plugs to all. If you can’t find them, locate an Ambassador, and ask them. I wear ear plugs every single time and fully recommend this 🙂

RAOK
Practice random acts of kindness, as if it’s a competition, or a Gift War: go out of your way to look out for each other, make new friends, make sure everyone around you is having a good time. You can use the opportunity to make new friends, or simply run around Bass Center on RAOK OVERDRIVE 🙂

THE ARENA, AND BEYOND

OK, that’s the Health & Safety bit. If you skipped over that, go back and READ IT PLEASE. These are important reminders!

Now, here are some details on what awaits you in the Bass Center:

The Haven
This is your getaway zone, a sanctuary inside the Stadium where you can chill out and take a break to recharge before getting back in the action. Ambassadors will be there to greet you with open arms. It’s also the hub for all our Ambassador activities and art projects inside the Stadium, so it’s a good place to connect with others and let your freak flag fly. So, if you are feeling overwhelmed or you just need to get a moment away from the throng, head to The Haven, or ask an Ambassador to take you there. The Ambassadors will also have a strong presence across the festival grounds, which leads us to…

AMBASSADOR PROJECTS

The Ambassadors will be active across the festival site, creating all kinds of beautiful mayhem. Besides The Haven inside the Stadium, they will largely be based in between the Stadium and the Daytime Actives area – look out for the two buses just north of the Daytime Activities: one blue, and the other yellow (aka Busnectar!). Here’s just a little taste of what they will be getting up to:

Meetups & Parades
Roll up, dress up, make some new friends and make some noise, and then parade through the festival grounds right through the middle of the madness! You decide how this goes down 🙂
Friday @ 3pm – Bass Head Meetup + Pink Elephants Parade
Saturday @ 3pm – Mad Tea Party Meetup + Zodgilla Parade
Meet at the Yellow Schoolbus!

Photo & Video Booths
If you want commemorate your weekend, stop by the aforementioned buses just north of Daytime Activities and our Ambassadors will help you create some magical memories…
Yellow Bus – The Enthusiasm Is Contagious Photo Booth
Blue Bus – The Laughter Crescendo Video Booth

Donation Drives
The Bass Network and Ambassadors will be hosting TWO donation drives:
Bassnectar presents Bass Center 2016 - Colorado
Friday + Saturday – collecting materials in support of the Denver Public Schools Foundation, which will go towards 90,000 students and nearly 200 Denver Public Schools, helping local kids to be well equipped for the school year. Bring: packs of colored pencils, #2 pencils, dry-erase markers, backpacks, and 3-hole spiral-bound notebooks. Drop off at the Yellow Schoolbus. For more info and to donate to the Denver Public Schools Foundation, click here: https://www.bassnectar.net/2016/07/bass-center-donation-drives/
Sunday: donate your camping gear to benefit Groundwork Denver, who coordinate with thousands of youth volunteers to help local communities and those in need. Ambassadors will be roaming through campsites to collect tents, sleeping bags, coolers, camp stoves and large coolers. Or you can drop your stuff off on the way out – look out for boxes as you exit the campgrounds. Get more info and donate to Groundwork Denver here: https://www.bassnectar.net/2016/07/bass-center-donation-drives/

Bass Head Cleanup
Ambassadors will be handing out trash bags inside the Stadium at the end of both nights – hang back and help us leave it like you found it!

Ambassador Special Ops
The Ambassadors have a ton of other stuff planned, big and small, to be found in all corners of the grounds. Some of this we’re keeping under wraps purposefully, and some of it we can’t even tell you about because it’s going to be totally unique, spontaneous and unplanned. And as always, Ambassadors will be giving out earplugs, water, and other surprises…

PLENTY MORE BESIDES

“Fungineers”Center Camp
The hub for our campsites, located at the edge of the Narnia Campground, and our open stage where you can sign up to perform, Playa style! Roaming performers will be dropping in through the day, and the Fungineers will be performing late night. Accessible to campers only.

Roaming Performers
We are being blessed with a ton of fantastic roaming performers and characters and creative lunatics who are bringing their talents to Bass Center for your enhanced enjoyment [Many thanks to Orange Peel Moses who amassed over 100 freaks, jugglers, stilters and more)! Expect all kinds of extroverts, and of course the Fungineers will be present, bringing their wonderful weirdness to Bass Center as only they can: catch them on a Fungineers TV near you 😉

Participation Row
Several of our non-profit partners will have booths set up along the back of the Stadium Concourse (farthest from the stage). Stop by and learn how you can be more involved in the causes that are close to our hearts. If you’re having a great weekend, giving back is the best way to say thanks to the universe.

Vendors & Food
Of course, it wouldn’t be a good festival without good food! Look out for the deliciousness so you can stay properly fueled throughout the weekend. And we have a range of hand-picked vendors onsite also – if you see something you like, support these artists who come from your community!

THAT’S QUITE ENOUGH FOR NOW!

Phew, that’s a wrap for now. There is so much more we could detail but we want you to have a few surprises left in store…

Wherever you are coming from, we hope you have the best weekend of your life 🙂

And remember that each and every one of us is a part of what will make this event so special: thank you again for making this happen! I so look forward to seeing all of this coming together and being with you all this weekend.

SEE YOU TONIGHT 🙂
