THE LOTS @ BASS CENTER X

THE LOTS @ BASS CENTER X
¡¡¡COME ONE, COME ALL, COME EARLY!!!

Soon we will all be launching into a magical adventure with our long-awaited Return to The Mothership: The Hampton Coliseum. We are always looking for ways to go above & beyond with our special events which is why we’re excited to have everyone come out early each day and join in on making The Lots something unique at BCX. We’ll be setting up multiple sessions during the day with outdoor sound systems, live music, outdoor activities, vendors, meetups and more to develop this into a nonstop holiday weekend affair… free for all! (:

What are you going to bring?

You could bring your artwork to share, gifts to distribute, costumes to trade, tailgating supplies, music to blast, and Freak Flags to FLY HIGH. You could bring a small renegade sound system and have a friend play some tracks. You could bring your favorite snack or dish to share with others: a Bass Head community potluck of sorts! Come and be part of the experience – we create this together 🙂

Here’s what we’ll be bringing to The Lots…

Music

We’ll be starting the BCX party early each day with DJs who Lorin hand selected for that perfect Dayparty Sound – presenting our daily music lineup to set the vibe outdoors before we enter The Mothership:

Fungineers – 6:30pm

Saturday 9/2

Sunday 9/3

Art & Performance

In addition to the extra helpings of custom curated music, there will be live art and roaming performers in the mix – feel free to join them! Bring your gear and show off your talents; there will be designated areas for live painting and swarms of hoopers, spinners, and flow artists floating around The Lots (: If you know how to juggle or know any good magic tricks, you can join the roaming performers, or set up shop and give your own workshops to help teach the next generation of magicians (:

Activities & Ambassador Projects

The Bass Network and Ambassadors will be running special activities and bringing fellow bass freaks together: from face-painting and hair-braiding to glitter baths, art stations and photo booths, creativity zones and even freak flag-making workshops: there will tons of opportunities to connect, get involved, and make some new buddies. Our friends at HeadCount will also be set up live & direct to educate & register people to vote. They will be joined by with some other amazing nonprofits partners to spread knowledge on how we can all get engaged with our local and national communities.

Bass Network Food DriveBass Network Food Drive

The Bass Network will be collecting canned foods and other items near the fountain and at entrances outside the venue. Donations will go to the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank, which helps supply food to 1 in 7 Virginians who struggle with hunger. We LOVE giving back to the community that welcomes us with open arms for our special events, so please donate what you can and help those in need!

ACCEPTED ITEMS:

> Canned vegetables
> Canned fruits
> Peanut butter
> Rice
> Instant potatoes
> Pasta meals
> Pasta sauces
> Macaroni and cheese
> Hearty soups

There will also be vendors onsite, with food options, as well as folks selling clothing, art, and jewelry, plus we’ll have a BN popup store with some exclusive gear.

And this is all just in The Lots… beyond that….
