Deja Voom! Here we go  (:

> Born I and friends will be hosting a Bass Meditation @ 1:30pm in Lo Fi Room on Thursday

> Kyrian has arrived and will be tagging along to host the pool parties each day @ 12:45pm!!

> West Coast Lo Fi missed his boat and is currently swimming the Rio Grande, taking the scenic route, and is rumored to be washing to shore this weekend, but details are still scant… we have decided to theme Thursday night’s set in the spirit of West Coast Lo Fi – chill, leftfield, downtempo – anything goes 🙂 Viva The Beach!!!!

Into The Sun
We will be enjoying lovely weather in paradise, but PLEASE find ways of going Into The Shade. Always be wearing sunscreen and be sure to share sunscreen with one another. Ambassadors will also be walking around with misters, sunscreen, and aloe to help out (:

We say this alllllll the time: DRINK WATER! Drink lots and drink it regularly – staying hydrated can make the difference between a great vacation or a trip to the medics. There is no sense in messing around. Heat exhaustion is serious business. If you are drinking alcohol – drink some water in between every all-inclusive beverage! Water will be available FREE EVERYWHERE around the resort, and Ambassadors will be circulating with bottles as well. Water is delicious, and it makes an excellent gift to share with a new friend!

Know Your Limits
You know our feelings about health & safety already, so we’ll say it again for the people in the back: please be careful, and be smart! Do not take illegal drugs or chemicals and if you choose to drink, do so responsibly. Please look out for each other and make sure everyone is safe and happy. Don’t go overboard! Remember: Music Is The Drug, and we have plenty of it for you consume this weekend! Let’s all stay present, stay in the moment, and be aware of our bodies, minds, and spirits. The health and safety of you and the everyone around you is most important above all else.

Ear Safety
We have sound systems EVERYWHERE – we’ll have ear plugs everywhere also. The music will sound better with ear plugs, and it protects your hearing. If you can’t find them, visit The Haven and locate an Ambassador to ask them. We’ll also give you a pair when you check-in! The entire Bassnectar Crew wears hearing protection of some sort during all shows – we highly recommend!!!

You may have seen this message at one of our past shows, but here it is again:
No one is entitled to your body.
Respect and consent are required.
If you need an ally, find an Ambassador or go to the medics.

Lining up for the Beach Stage
Please note: lines for the Beach Stage open at 3:30pm, and the doors open at 5:00pm – we ask you to be respectful of these times and not show up any earlier. Overnight lines are not permitted – thanks for your understanding!

The Haven, Activations, and Workshops
This is your getaway zone, a sanctuary inside the resort where you can chill out and take a break to recharge before getting back in the action. Ambassadors will be there to greet you with open arms. It’s also the hub for all our activations, workshops, and Ambassador community projects for the weekend! The Haven will double as the check in area for guests, so everyone learns where the Haven is when you arrive.

The Haven will be a non-alcoholic area, with fresh smoothies and juices from the bar at no cost. Water will be plentiful and free, thanks to hotel staff.

(All activations and workshops are located in The Haven unless stated otherwise)

Carbon Offset
We love As a part of our sustainability efforts for Deja Voom, a portion of ticket sales will be used to purchase carbon offsets for every single round trip flight taken to the event!

The project we are contributing to is a wind energy center in Texas, helping in the transition from oil to clean power while creating jobs. This wind energy project creates no air or water pollution, and uses no water in power generation. Wind projects allow land to remain in agricultural use, while providing more income and growing the tax base for rural regions of our country. We are happy to contribute to the movement away from fossil fuels.

Be Interactive
Located in The Haven on Thursday, Be Interactive has gathered a group of amazing nonprofits + organizations that we support to come share their missions and how you can get involved!

> K’iin Beh: A group that provides a thorough and engaging education for local underserved and at-risk kids.
> Maya Environmental Educationa and Research Center: A local organization working to create bonds between Mayan communities and the rest of the world through environmental education, academic research, immersion trips, voluntourism and social responsibility actions toward reducing water and carbon footprint.
> CINDAQ: A local cave exploration and conservation organization. Using modern tech and science, these folks work to protect and document the incredible cenotes throughout the state of Quintana Roo. They aim to create models for sustainability that serve the long-term interests of citizens, and are replicable in other threatened areas.
> GVI: GVI is an international volunteer and intern abroad program with sustainable principles. They offer ocean conservation projects in the Tulum area and will focus on ocean conservation at our event.

Deja Voom School Supply Drive
The Bass Network and Be Interactive are organizing a backpack, book, and supply drive for a school in Riviera Maya – join us in giving to these students so they have the materials needed for a successful school year.

> Backpacks for children ages 5-12
> Spanish and English reading books for children ages 5-12
> Notebooks
> Normal and colored pencils
> Crayons
> Rulers, erasers, pencil sharpeners, + other common school supplies

If you’d like to contribute, but don’t want to fly with your donation you can donate here: http://fundacionkiinbeh.com

Each night’s vibe…

That’s all for now folks… we could go further into detail but we want you to explore the event and have a few surprises left for the weekend! So much to see and we can’t wait to show you what we’ve dreamt up!

Freestyle Sessions - Summer Gathering - 2019

Freestyle Sessions: Summer Gathering
June 7th, 8th, 9th – 2019

Our annual summer adventure in Colorado is happening once again: The Freestyle Sessions 2019!

We developed this concept as a think-outside-the-box musical experience where anything goes: celebrating freestyle musical creativity. This means it’s a bit of a deeper dive than your average festival set, with lots of throwbacks, classic tracks, rare grooves, b-sides, unreleased concepts and long lost songs; all while mashing any and all genres into a proper sonic collage. Viva Freestyle Music!

And for those who haven’t joined us in Broomfield, CO for this event before, our themes for each night are as follows:

FRI 6/7: Freestyle
with musical guests Joker • Reso • Pushloop

SAT 6/8: Dreamtempo
with musical guests J:Kenzo • The Librarian • DJ Danny Corn

SUN 6/9: Wildstyle
with musical guests Shades • Phutureprimitive • Thelem

This event is 18+

We also have 150 x 3-night VIP Experiences available for those interested.
The VIP Experience includes:
> One VIP Ticket to the Colorado Summer Gathering
> Limited Edition Poster
> Early Entry
> Exclusive space inside the venue (inc seating area in the bowl)

REMINDER to those making the trek: If you’re looking to carpool, join in on a hotel room, or split a rental, you can find other Bass Heads looking for the same in the Ride Shares & BassBNB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/BassBnB

Ambassadors 2019
A BassNetwork Project

The Ambassadors are a group of individuals who have realized their capacity to make a difference in their local communities, the Bassnectar Community, and beyond.

The Ambassador Program is not a fan club; this is a place for like-minded individuals to come together and figure out how we can contribute to the vibrant community we are a part of, and how to spread this vibrancy to the world at large.

Being an Ambassador means tapping into your most creative, helpful, empathetic, and enthusiastic self. Ambassadors break down barriers between strangers, encourage community interaction, and inspire those around them to look out for one another – at shows/festivals, in everyday life, and in the digital world. This is one giant group of selfless, like-minded individuals gathered to provide new and ever-lasting experiences for those around us.

“Being an ambassador IS NOT about working at a show, it’s NOT about wearing a white shirt, and passing out water…… it’s about incorporating these values into your life and expressing them outward (values like love, kindness, health, respect, creativity, treating others as you want to be treated, honoring family and friendship, thinking critically, etc)” – Lorin Ashton

If you would like to join our team, please fill out the application below! Take your time, be thorough, and most importantly BE YOURSELF – we will review these applications and bring on new team members monthly. If you’ve applied to the program in the past, please feel free to apply again!

Thanks (:

NYE360 Map

The event we’ve been looking forward to all year is finally upon us! It’s time for our New Year’s Eve Gathering, with friends and family coming together for our final throwdown of 2018. Our team has been working tirelessly to design a spectacular 360 rotating spaceship to launch us into the new year – hope you’re as ready as we are! In return, all we ask is that you look out for one another, celebrate life and promote positivity at every turn, take care of your body + mind, and enjoy the ride…

We have gone above & beyond to stock this arena up with as much FREE water as possible – there will be 7 bottled water stations available where you can just walk up and take a bottle of water for yourself and your friends. There is a station located in The Haven, two on the floor, two in the lower concourse, and two in the upper concourse – we have purchased enough water so that each and every human in the venue can keep their body hydrated the night of the event. We will also have Ambassadors buzzing all over the venue giving away even more water; please be sure take full advantage of this!! It is going to be packed and hot in this arena, let us repeat: IT IS GOING TO BE HOT IN THIS ARENA! So nourish your body and give it what it needs…

Know Your Limits
We know people tend to go super hard every New Year’s Eve, but don’t go overboard. Don’t put anything in your body that could cause it harm – And if you’re feeling any sort of pressure that is making you uncomfortable, go to The Haven, find an Ambassador, hit up The Hummingbirds table (located in The Haven), and remove yourself from the situation altogether. We are here for you!

We hope each of you make safe decisions all weekend long. There will be more than enough stimulation from all all of the activities going on and all of the water you’ll be drinking, so please be mindful of your body and protect your nervous system… Keep an eye out for those around you and take care of each other: You Know We Love It!

Ear Safety
The Bassnectar Crew works to bring the most state-of-art, immersive sound experience to your ears. But like any of our events, we always promote wearing ear plugs. Ambassadors will have them for you at the Love Here Booth located in The Haven – so stop by, say hi, and get some for yourself. You won’t regret it.

Allowed + Prohibited Items
Please review all of the allowed + prohibited lists for a safe + speedy entry!

We’ve added additional entrances for this event and have doubled the security checkpoints to get all of you in faster and safer, but we ask that you do your part to help. Please review what items are allowed and not permitted inside the venue – this is one of the main issues that holds up the lines. Come prepared, have your tickets and IDs situated, take turns with one another in line, and cooperate with security and the venue staff.

Once you’re in, don’t forget this is a Free Roam Event!!! So any and all are welcome on the floor and the stands! We worked hard to make this happen in this venue, so enjoy 🙂

Our extended team is monitoring the weather closely, and there appears to be a chance of rain on the day of the event… Although we don’t exactly know the time of the day it could hit, let’s all be prepared for it! Please let your friends know and maybe exchange some inexpensive holiday ponchos for the short moments you do find yourself outside. The lines and security checkpoints will be positioned inside, so we have you covered there – just please review the event map once again so you know where the entrances, parking lots, etc. are all located for smooth entry!

The Bassnectar App has been updated! There you will find info about the artists, nonprofits, and projects happening at the event. There you will also find the event map, new NYE-themed photo filters, and more!

PLUS opt-in to receive notifications and we’ll send important updates on the lines, weather, and essential event info in real time 🙂

The Haven
Serving as the nucleus outside of concert space, The Haven is your sanctuary where you can get away, chill out, and take a break from the intensity. Ambassadors will be there to greet you and make sure you’re comfortable and taken care of – they will be handing out loads of free water, juice, tea, snacks, ear plugs, and more!

Other areas you will in The Haven:
> Free bottled water station
> The Gift Altar
> Ambassador activation zones
> Photo Booth
> Live painting and roaming performers
> An interactive art gallery
> The Love Here Booth
> Massages + body work
> Yoga + meditation
> The Remembrance Altar
> Chill areas + extra safe spaces
> The Hummingbirds table
> and so much more to discover!

Bass Network Clothing Drive
The Bass Network is teaming up with Be Interactive to host a clothing drive the night of the event – The Ambassadors are gathering donations at the entrance of the venue and giving to Bob’s Closet, who collects clothing and gives to those in need around the city of Greensboro! Click here to connect with others and team up!

> Winter Clothing (shirts, pants, gloves, etc.)
> Coats
> Winter Hats
> New Underwear (all sizes please!)
> New Socks
> Blankets
> and Foot Warmers!

NYE Lunchbox Food Drive
Be Interactive and Conscious Alliance have linked to do another food drive – donate 20 healthy non-perishable food items or a cash donation to collect a lunchbox with beautiful art from our dear friend Sebastian Wahl!!

This is a continued effort to support the Pine Ridge and Standing Rock Indian Reservations, so donate where you can!

We’ll also be hiding two Guest List Laminates to get one lucky donor entry to the next Bassnectar special event in the USA…

Nonprofits + Partners
Located in The Plaza, Be Interactive has gathered a group of badass nonprofits + organizations that we support to come share their missions and how you can get involved!

Joining us in Greensboro…
> Conscious Alliance
> Love Hope Strength
> Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP)
> The Regeneration Magazine

We could give more details on each of them, but we suggest just coming early to the venue and connecting with them direct! (Although we have linked their websites and pages above just in case you want to learn more before the event!!)

WOW: so much happening and all in one night… and all of it’s FOR YOU! We can’t wait to bring in the new year with the bass fam – another year around the sun and it’s been amazing 🙂

Please travel safe and start the stretching – we’re going all out for this…
